Attending a Hidden Gig is different than going to most concerts: you purchase tickets and register online, and then wait to receive a text message and email 24 hours before the gig telling you where to go and when to be there. So why all the secrecy and uncertainty?

The organization wants to give music fans a hint of what it’s like to be single and homeless; a precarious, dire situation in which you don’t know where you will end up each night. The fact that people are paying to see some amazing bands and DJs in small clubs or spaces makes the campaign arguably a bit hokey, but the larger campaign against homelessness is pragmatic.
