PODCAST: Budos Band baritone saxophonist Jared Tankel discusses the song “Budos Rising,” from the band’s 2009 album, Budos Band II.

Budos Band is an instrumental band based in Staten Island, New York. Their earlier material was rooted in interpretations of funk, soul, afrobeat, and Ethiopian Jazz. Newer material is influenced more by Black Sabbath and psychedelic rock.

The group is touring summer and fall of 2014.
